My name: Kevin Kelly

I joined Vatter: in August 2021

My job is: Project Estimator 

How did you get into the construction industry?

I actually owned my own drywall business - Vatter actually did my kitchen during that time. I retired, but then came back and worked for Vatter

What’s your favorite part about what you do?

Meeting people and seeing the transformation from their existing home to their dream home

What’s your favorite thing to do outside of work?

I enjoy ice hockey and Formula 1 racing. My daughter also does lacrosse, so I go to her games and tournaments. 

How would you describe your job to a five-year-old?

Well, I’d hand out lollipops first - but then maybe, “I apply labor and material costs to complete a constriction project.”

What's your favorite “useless talent” you have (party trick?)

I can juggle a soccer ball over 100 times. I played for 23 years, so I got pretty good at it!

If you had a 1-minute ad slot during the super bowl, how would you fill it?

A video of my Great Dane eating her food. When she eats her food she spins her bowl around. It's not super cute - she’s just a dope. She's the best dog I’ve ever had, but she's a total dunce. 

What's one silly law that you’d like to be passed universally?

Mandatory beanie hat Friday! It’d be an everyday thing for me, though.
